Head of AI
We are appointing a senior AI leader to establish and expand our artificial intelligence capability. This individual will take ownership of the AI function, define the strategic direction, and ensure successful commercial deployment of AI-led products and services. The successful candidate will lead specialist teams, shape scalable AI solutions, and actively support revenue generation through customer engagement and market-facing initiatives.
Core Accountabilities
Strategic Direction & Team Leadership

Develop and articulate a clear AI vision aligned to organisational growth objectives

Build and lead a multidisciplinary AI team spanning engineering and data science

Implement robust standards covering development, deployment, governance, and responsible AI

Create a culture of innovation, accountability, and delivery excellence
Product Ownership & Delivery

Define and manage the AI product and service portfolio
-
Convert market demand and customer requirements into scalable, production-ready AI offerings
-
Determine technical investment priorities based on commercial return and strategic value
-
Ensure solutions are robust, repeatable, and capable of scaling across clients
Commercial Engagement & Market Activation

Work closely with Sales and Marketing to position AI capabilities effectively

Contribute to solution design, client discovery sessions, and bid responses

Act as a trusted AI authority in enterprise conversations
-
Develop packaged AI propositions that are easy to articulate and deploy
Customer Impact & Use Case Development

Identify high-value AI opportunities directly with clients

Validate business cases and measurable outcomes

Oversee execution from proof-of-concept through to operational deployment

Ensure solutions deliver tangible commercial results
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

Partner with Product, Engineering, Commercial, and Executive leadership

Communicate complex AI and data concepts in clear, accessible language

Provide transparent reporting on delivery progress, risks, and opportunity areas
Experience & Capability Requirements

Demonstrated leadership of AI, ML, or advanced analytics teams

Strong technical grounding in data, AI, or software engineering disciplines

Experience shaping or influencing product strategy and execution
-
Exposure to customer-facing engagements and enterprise solution environments
-
Ability to connect strategic intent with measurable commercial outcomes
Desirable Background

Experience delivering AI services or solutions within consulting or product-led environments

Exposure to regulated or large enterprise customers

Familiarity with cloud-based AI platforms, modern MLOps practices, and scalable architectures
