Lead AI Engineer Bristol or Cardiff (hybrid) £80,000 - £100,000 Permanent

I am currently seeking a Lead AI Engineer to champion the next generation of AI-driven solutions for a market leading client. This is an opportunity to shape the future of AI by guiding a talented team in the design, development, and deployment of advanced Generative AI and Agentic AI systems. Based in either Bristol or Cardiff, this role offers you the chance to work at the forefront of technology, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful applications that transform business operations.

Lead AI Engineer – What will you be doing?

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of sophisticated AI and Generative AI applications within secure enterprise environments.
• Oversee the creation of intelligent Task, Domain, and Orchestrator Agents using multi-agent frameworks, providing guidance on best practices to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Architect core components for Agentic AI systems.
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineers to design efficient data pipelines and infrastructure that enable seamless scaling and integration of AI applications and agents.
• Establish comprehensive metrics for evaluating the performance of AI applications, agents, and overall Agentic AI systems.
• Drive awareness of emerging trends in artificial intelligence and machine learning within your team.

Lead AI Engineer – What will you need?

• Extensive experience as a full-stack engineer with deep understanding of DevOps deployment pipelines.
• Proven track record in building cloud-native applications within enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing Generative AI applications.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Agentic AI system architecture.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, and NodeJS.
• Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience leading Agile teams through all phases of solution delivery.
