Computational Protein Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design of de novo proteins, leveraging your expertise in protein pipelining and computational techniques.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to interpret protein data, guiding experimental design and decision-making.
  • Develop and implement innovative algorithms and methodologies to enhance our protein engineering capabilities.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in the field, integrating new techniques to continuously improve our computational protein engineering processes.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing de novo proteins from scratch, showcasing your ability to push the boundaries of protein engineering beyond simple restructuring.
  • Proven track record of applying protein pipelining techniques to real-world challenges, contributing to scientific publications or successful projects.
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in computational biology, such as Python.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to evolving research goals.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

There is also a competitive salary package, with the potential to earn up to £60,000 based on experience and qualifications along with private medical health care & pension contributions.
