Lead Data Engineer

Lead Data Engineer Location: Remote (Applicants must be UK based) Contract Length: Initial 6 months + possible extensions Outside IR35 Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer with have a strong background in data architecture, data engineering, and cloud technologies, with experience in managing data across GCP

My Medical sector client needs someone with expertise in mitigation of issues with database query time, throughput, latency etc and long-term strategies to avoid some scaling issues.

They will then require assistant with migrating our data to a platform/service for better overall usability, compliance with scalable technologies like Big query and the Apache stack

Applicants must have experience of:

• PostgreSQL
• BigQuery
• Apache stack (Parquet, Iceberg)
• Big Data
• GCP

Highly desirable:

Medical devices (ISO 13485) experience
