Senior Data Engineer

A growing sports retailer based in South Manchester are currently on the lookout for a Senior Data Engineer to join the team as the look to embark on a large Enterprise-wide project to move all systems in house.

The business have grown exponentially over the last few years with revenue going from £6m to £56m! The specialise in the Nike "Team Sport" branding, a retail outlet selling Nike sportswear, team kits and more.

Core responsibilities for the Data Engineer are below:

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and systems
• Develop and implement data quality measures
• Work with stakeholders to define and implement data-driven solutions
• Stay up-to-date on the latest data engineering trends and technologies
• Ad-hoc data quality checks, updates, imports and help with the wider business users

The business operate in Google Cloud Platform and Big Query, however any experience in cloud platforms would be suitable (Azure, AWS) alongside solid SQL skills. ETL and Python programming.

The role is offering a salary of up to £70,000 in addition to a range of great benefits which include 25 days holiday, 44% discount on Nike products, 25% discount at Nike Campus store, 10% bonus, and occasional trips to the prestigious Nike Campus based in the Netherlands.

The business are opening a new office in South Manchester, however the role will be mainly remote with the occasional need to visit the office and head office in the Netherlands.
