Data Quality - Lead

An opportunity has arisen for a Data Quality Lead to join a well-known organisation on a permanent basis. This role will sit within the wider data function and play a key part in shaping and embedding a robust data quality framework across the business.

Data is a key focus for the business, and this role will take the lead on improving how quality is measured, governed and embedded across the organisation. The successful person will help shape the standards, processes and controls that support stronger, more reliable data across the wider business.

This role would suit someone who enjoys setting direction, working closely with stakeholders and turning good governance into practical day-to-day delivery.

Key responsibilities:

  • Build and embed a consistent approach to data quality across the business
  • Develop standards, controls and measures to improve data reliability
  • Work with key stakeholders to strengthen data quality processes and ownership
  • Introduce effective ways to identify, assess and track data issues
  • Support the roll-out of data profiling, monitoring and reporting practices
  • Help drive improvements across both change initiatives and BAU activity
  • Contribute to wider governance discussions and continuous improvement work

Key requirements:

  • Strong experience in data quality and broader data governance
  • Experience establishing frameworks, controls or operating approaches
  • Good understanding of data quality tooling and monitoring
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence
  • Analytical, organised and detail-focused
  • Comfortable working at pace and managing competing priorities

Desirable:

  • Exposure to data warehousing, BI or data architecture
  • CDMP or similar certification
  • Degree or equivalent practical experience
