BI Developer Birmingham (hybrid) £40,000 to £50,000 per annum Permanent

I am currently seeking a BI Developer to play a pivotal role in shaping my clients BI capability during an exciting period of growth. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve designing visually engaging dashboards using Power BI, building comprehensive reports that empower stakeholders with actionable information, and creating semantic models that streamline data analysis.

BI Developer – What will you be doing?

• Designing and developing high-quality Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Creating semantic models that enable efficient data analysis and support business decision-making processes.
• Collaborating closely with colleagues from various departments to understand their data needs and translate requirements into effective BI solutions.
• Utilising DAX to develop complex calculations and measures within Power BI reports.
• Writing SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources into the BI platform.
• Implementing ETL processes to ensure seamless integration of data from disparate systems into centralised repositories.

BI Developer – What will you need?

• Demonstrated experience in designing high-quality dashboards Power BI.
• DAX for developing advanced calculations within Power BI reports.
• Advanced SQL capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with ETL techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating with colleagues from different departments to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
• Enthusiasm for learning new technologies such as Fabric.
