Senior Commercial Analyst Leicester £45,000 to £60,000 Permanent

I am currently working with a rapidly expanding client with a growing international presence as they seek a Senior Commercial Analyst to join their team in Leicester. This newly created position offers you the unique opportunity to take full ownership of commercial data, set up impactful dashboards in Power BI, and become the go-to expert for business intelligence across multiple departments.

Senior Commercial Analyst – What will you be doing?

• Taking full ownership of all commercial data flowing from multiple till systems into a centralised data warehouse, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
• Designing, building, and maintaining Power BI dashboards that provide clear visibility into key metrics such as sales performance, ROI, pricing trends, and marketing effectiveness.
• Collaborate closely with finance, marketing, sales, and pricing departments to understand their needs and deliver tailored analysis that supports decision-making.
• Presenting findings in meetings with various teams, translating complex data into accessible insights that drive business strategy.
• Developing new approaches for analysing financial data to uncover opportunities for growth and efficiency improvements.
• Bridging gaps between technical data management and operational requirements by acting as a trusted business partner across departments.

Senior Commercial Analyst – What will you need?

• Advanced proficiency in Power BI for dashboard creation, visualisation design, and report automation.
• Strong interpersonal skills enabling you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including finance, marketing, sales, and pricing.
• Excellent communication abilities for presenting complex analysis clearly in meetings with non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven track record of developing new analytical approaches that generate actionable business insights.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing positively within an inclusive team setting.
• Knowledge of best practices in data warehousing including security protocols and integrity standards.
