Data Integration Engineer
Data Integration Engineer Location: Manchester City Centre (1-2 days per week) Contract Length: Initial 3 months + possible extensions Rate: £350-450 per day Outside IR35 status Start Date: ASAP
We're hiring an experienced Data Integration Engineer contractor to support a global law firm working across data platforms in SQL and custom APIs.
This is a hands-on technical role for an experienced as a Data Integration Engineer who is an expert at fixing errors, querying the data, updating data pipelines and general technical trouble shooting.
- Proven ability to diagnose, analyse, and resolve complex data integration issues efficiently. This includes debugging ETL/ELT processes, identifying data discrepancies, and implementing robust fixes.
- Expert proficiency in SQL and other query languages to extract, analyze, and manipulate large datasets.
- Competence in performance tuning queries for optimal efficiency and data integrity verification.
- Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, communicate technical issues, and ensure seamless data flow across systems.
Skills required
- Strong SQL Server skills (procedures, views, table design, indexing, optimisation)
- Familiar with both REST and SOAP API
- Experience with cloud (Azure) and APIs (Hubspot)
- Excellent written and verbal communication with client stakeholders
- Proactive problem-solver who enjoys untangling complex data sets.
Nice to haves:
- Good Power BI skills
- Experience of working in Legal Sector / Law firms (highly desirable)
- Experience / Knowledge of Thomson Reuters Elite 3E (desirable)
