Senior Analytics Engineer

Senior Analytics Engineer Birmingham (one day per week) £55,000 to £65,000 per annum Permanent

I am pleased to be partnering with a forward-thinking organisation as they seek a Senior BI Developer. You will be responsible for the implementation and development of a new data and analytics products, from end to end. You will be an expert in data modelling and data visualisation with Power BI, demonstrating innovation in the development of new approaches for data visualisation dashboards.

Senior BI Developer – What will you be doing?

• Helping deliver organisational strategy, supporting data projects throughout their lifecycle.
• Driving improvements within Power BI reporting solutions in partnership with external vendors, maintaining system architecture.
• Utilising Azure SQL data warehouse to generate data solutions that enable self-service analytics.
• Engaging proactively with stakeholders to define reporting needs, translating complex concepts into clear business requirements and technical specifications.
• Advising on optimal approaches to data development, moving away from legacy wherever possible.
• Training and mentoring junior team members to foster a culture of shared knowledge and career development.

Senior BI Developer – What will you need?

• Advanced Power BI capabilities.
• Proficient in DevOps practises.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL Server.
• Experience leading stakeholders through requirements gathering processes.
• Strong attention to detail, guaranteeing accuracy across all aspects of solution development.
• Outstanding communication skills across both technical and non-technical audiences.
