Power BI Engineer

Power BI Engineer Location: Greater Manchester (onsite 2-3 days p.w.) Contract Duration: 6mths with option of a renewal Rate: £400-450 per day (Outside IR35) Looking to recruit a skilled Contract Power BI Engineer for a vital 6mth project for a leading client in Greater Manchester.

The Role:

As a Power BI Engineer you will play a critical role in migrating data into Power BI and creating automated reporting solutions. This will empower managers to access real-time insights, improving decision-making and operational efficiency across the Data/IT departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to understand data requirements.
• Design, develop, and implement Power BI dashboards
• Automate data pipelines and reporting processes for real-time insights.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the migration process.
• Train relevant staff to effectively use the Power BI reporting solutions.

Essential Experience:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Proven experience as a Power BI Developer (4-5 years +)
• A strong track record of working with housing repairs data or similar datasets in a public sector context.
• A deep understanding of data analysis and reporting best practices
• Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and data modelling for Power BI.
• Proven experience in translating complex data into intuitive visualizations.
• Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Power BI, including custom visuals, themes, bookmarks, tooltips, and drill-downs.
