Our client is seeking a Technical Data Analyst to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to translate data into valuable insights that inform decisions, manage communication with stakeholders, advocate data governance standards, and design complex data models. The successful candidate will have the chance to work in a supportive environment that encourages continuous learning and professional growth. This is a 12-month fixed term role with potential for extension.

What you'll do:

As a Technical Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in translating complex data into valuable insights that inform key decisions. You will be responsible for listening to the needs of both technical and business stakeholders, interpreting these needs into clearly documented requirements. Your role will also involve advocating for data governance and management standards within your team's products and services. You will design, build, and review complex data models while ensuring adherence to standards. Additionally, you will set up systems for preparing data for use, specifying how this data should be cleansed and prepared. Your expertise in various data visualisation tools will be essential in presenting, communicating, and disseminating data effectively.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Technical Data Analyst position brings significant experience working as part of a Business Insight team or equivalent function. You have developed a wide range of reporting solutions for business users in previous roles. Your ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical language sets you apart from others. You are comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels to identify and document clear requirements for delivery. Your strong interpersonal and influencing skills will be key in this role. You are an advanced Excel user, with expertise in Formulas, Pivot Tables, Power Query, VBA etc. Your proven DAX & SQL skills to extract and manipulate data will be essential in this role.
