Lead Data Engineer duties:

• Lead the design and implementation of end to end data engineering solutions, including data pipelines, ETL Processes and data integration systems.
• Oversee and manage the development and maintenance of data architecture, ensuring data quality, integrity, and availability.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to define data requirements, translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to a growing team of data engineers, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
• Drive the adoption of best practices in data engineering, ensuring scalability, performance and security of data systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with data pipelines, data quality, and performance bottlenecks.

As Lead Data Engineer you will be:

• Proven experience in data engineering, with a track record of leading and delivering large-scale data projects.
• Strong proficiency with data engineering tools and technologies, including SQL, Python, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and tools.
• Knowledge of ETL processes, data modelling and data pipeline orchestration tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and at all levels of the organisation.
• Strong problem solving with a focus on delivering efficient solutions.
