Data Engineer

Data Engineer Manchester £60,000 I am currently supporting a rapidly growing Financial Services business with a dynamic and innovative approach to transforming the industry. With a focus on cutting edge technology and data driven decision making, they’re looking to strengthen their Data team before the year closes out.

As a Data Engineer your duties include:

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient and scalable data pipelines to support analytics and business intelligence.
• Work closely with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and provide solutions that enable the effective use of data.
• Optimise and automate data processing workflows to ensure fast, reliable, and secure data flow.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security best practices, keeping sensitive financial data protected.
• Work with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) to manage and process data at scale.

As a Data Engineer you will have:

• Strong experience in a similar position, ideally within a similarly data-driven environment.
• Comfortable in using SQL and experienced with modern programme languages.
• Hands on experience with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and big data tools.
• Experienced with version control systems and agile development practices.
• A proactive attitude and the ability to work in a fast-moving rapidly growing business environment.
