We are looking for an Data Analytics Lead to lead a team supporting our award-winning Retail businesses across the UK and Germany. Sitting on the leadership team of our division. This role represents a great opportunity to support the growth and development of our division, bring to life the use of data, advance analytics, and technology within our fastest growing business line.
The D2C Analytics team sits at the interface of our business and technology functions to deliver insights, learnings, and data products across multiple teams within our Retail businesses (launched in 2017). Currently consisting of 5 data analysts and partnering closely with our data engineers, the team leverages our cloud-based data infrastructure (AWS) and analytical tools (Athena, SageMaker, Tableau and Adobe Suite) to accelerate the use and adoption of data within our business. The successful candidate will be an authentic leader with a genuine interest in analytics, AI/ML solutions and the innovative use of data within a technology focussed business. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are an imperative with the ability to represent the team and function across different business lines whist simultaneously understanding and driving forward our technical capabilities within the team.
Core Technical Competencies • Expert SQL and experience with business facing analytics • Excellent understanding of statistics and advanced analytics methods plus a working knowledge and experience using Python or R to perform large scale analyses. • A good understanding of data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, PowerBi, Looker etc) • Familiarity with bid data frameworks • Familiarity AB testing and significance testing (Adobe Target) Any of the below would be advantageous: • AWS experience (Athena, SageMaker, GlueETL) • Experience with Web Analytics (Adobe Analytics) • Experience within a product centred technology company • Experience leveraging financial data and operating in regulated environments Other desired Competencies/Characteristics (non-exhaustive) • Excellent at translating business challenges into data/analytics briefs and explaining technical concepts to non-technical crew at all levels. • Proven track record of managing and developing technical employees • Experience in a hands-on technical role leveraging large data sets within a business context. • Promotes analytics standards and best practices • Pre-empts and proactively manages risks • An advocate for innovation
