Digital Content Moderator Hertfordshire (Full time) Permanent Role – Salary up to £32k Per Annum Plus Benefits We have partnered with a digital platform company who are looking to hire a Digital Content Moderator to join their team maintain a safe environment for their users. This role is perfect for someone who’s looking for exposure to the creator economy and a startup/scale-up environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Digital Content Moderator:

  • Monitor and review user-generated content (posts, videos, comments, etc.) to ensure it aligns with the platform’s guidelines and policies.
  • Identify, flag, and remove inappropriate, harmful, or offensive content, including spam, abuse, and misinformation.
  • Respond to user reports, complaints, and issues regarding content violations in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist in developing and refining moderation policies and guidelines as the platform grows.
  • Collaborate with the customer support and community management teams to resolve content-related issues.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and changes in content moderation technologies.
  • Participate in team discussions on improving content curation and platform safety.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of content moderation actions and user behaviour patterns.

Skills required for the of the Digital Content Moderator:

  • Candidates for this role must be bilingual (French, German, Spanish & Italian preferred)
  • Proven experience in content moderation, social media management, or community engagement.
  • Ability to manage high volumes of content and stay composed under pressure.
  • Identify, flag, and remove inappropriate, harmful, or offensive content, including spam, abuse, and misinformation.
  • Experience working with content moderation tools and software, such as Asana or Zendesk.
  • Strong understanding of community guidelines, platform policies, and content management processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to make quick and fair judgement calls.
  • Knowledge of digital platforms and trends, with a keen interest in user-generated content and creator communities.
  • Familiarity with content moderation tools and software is a plus.
  • Empathy, patience, and a solution-oriented mindset when interacting with users.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, if needed.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound judgements and decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritise multiple tasks and responsibilities.
