Cloud and Infrastructure Architect (Azure)

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a global environment and wants to take ownership of designing, optimising, and securing enterprise-scale cloud and hybrid infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in supporting the firm’s cloud transformation strategy and driving continuous improvement across their IT landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud and on-prem infrastructure solutions.

• Optimise system performance, availability, and cost efficiency.

• Lead and support cloud migration and transformation projects.

• Identify and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and compliance risks.

• Collaborate with global IT and vendor teams to test and integrate new technologies.

• Develop automation and infrastructure-as-code frameworks (Terraform, PowerShell).

• Support and train teams on cloud technologies and best practices.

• Maintain up-to-date business continuity and disaster recovery documentation.

• Act as an escalation point for operational issues and provide strategic technical guidance.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.

• 5+ years in cloud and infrastructure engineering or architecture.

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (including Azure Migrate).

• Proven background in on-prem to cloud transformation.

• Experience with VMware, Cisco UCS, Dell EMC.

• Knowledge of networking technologies (Cisco ACI, F5, Palo Alto, SD-WAN).

• Scripting/automation experience (Terraform, PowerShell).

• Solid understanding of cloud security and governance best practices.

Desirable:

• Azure certifications.

• Experience with Kubernetes, Linux, and Windows Server/Active Directory.
