Solution Architect - API & Cloud (Banking)

A leading bank is seeking a dynamic and adaptable Solution Architect to join experience and communications team in London. This exciting role offers the opportunity to lead, direct, and shape approaches to solving technical challenges and translating business requirements into technical solutions. The successful candidate will work in a highly collaborative environment, driving efforts to create, build, support, and improve software alongside product and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our client's personalised experiences & communications platform. Working closely with product and engineering teams, you'll drive efforts to create, build, support, and improve software systems.

• Lead, direct and shape approaches to solving technical challenges
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Work collaboratively with product and engineering teams
• Contribute to ensuring good quality and engineering practices are followed
• Support and improve existing software
• Learn new skills in varying circumstances

Key Skills:

You'll have strong experience in solution design along with knowledge of microservices, containerisation, cloud native and event-driven design concepts. Your understanding of API standards, security and gateway patterns will be crucial in this role. Additionally, your knowledge of data technologies such as SQL/NoSQL and Big Data will be highly valued.

• Strong experience of solution design, security & resilience patterns
• Knowledge of microservices, containerisation, cloud native and event-driven design concepts
• Understanding of API standards, security and gateway patterns
• Knowledge of data technologies – SQL/NoSQL, Big Data
• Experience with cloud architecture, particularly GCP
