Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Professional Standards Manager to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a leading professional body in the UK for tax advisers, dealing with all aspects of taxation. The successful candidate will be part of a team that promotes education in taxation, aiming for a more efficient and less complex tax system for all.
What you'll do:
As a Professional Standards Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Professional Standards. You will take on responsibilities such as deputising for the Head when necessary, managing the workload of the team within a complex structure, planning and managing projects, and engaging with external stakeholders. Your role will also involve producing professional standards output on allocated areas of work, identifying issues proactively, making proposals, and overseeing the production of KPI statistics and reports.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge about how the tax profession operates. You should be alert to changes in the wider external environment that could influence professional standards. You'll need strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication abilities, and a collaborative approach to your work. The ability to work remotely and take initiative is also essential.
