What you'll do:
As a Tax Reporting Advisor based in London, you will play a pivotal role in managing complex tax compliance activities for large international partnerships. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve preparing intricate UK tax computations across multiple entities worldwide, collaborating with both internal teams and external advisors to optimise technology solutions that drive efficiency. You will be responsible for compiling detailed schedules required for partnership tax returns, allocating income items accurately by partner and jurisdiction. In addition to supporting year-end processes such as profit allocation and reserve calculations, you will build financial models that inform strategic decisions around funding and structural changes. Your expertise will also be called upon to draft key process documentation and maintain robust controls matrices that underpin global tax operations. Success in this role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a supportive team environment.
- Prepare detailed UK tax computation analyses for large partnerships spanning multiple jurisdictions, including Europe, Africa, Asia, and North America.
- Review items of expenditure for tax purposes, identifying disallowable expenses and applying relevant reliefs, allowances, and deductions such as capital allowances.
- Collaborate with external advisors on the maintenance and optimisation of machine learning tools used for analysing tax disallowable expenditure, ensuring accuracy and efficiency through annual reviews of underlying tax rules.
- Advise on the selection and implementation of new technology solutions that enhance efficiency and control within existing tax processes.
- Compile comprehensive schedules for UK Partnership Tax returns, including allocation of income items by partner such as trading profits, dividends, untaxed interest, gift aid contributions, and income from permanent establishments in Australia.
- Calculate specific remuneration adjustments for partners in various jurisdictions as required by local regulations.
- Facilitate timely payment of Corporation Tax for the UK Service Company by providing accurate information to external advisors for CT return preparation.
- Support year-end processes including allocation of accounting profits to relevant jurisdictions and calculation of partner tax reserves.
- Build financial models in partnership with senior finance leaders to support firm-wide funding decisions, structural tax changes, profit allocation strategies, intra-entity profit flows, and effective tax rate estimates.
- Draft and maintain roles & responsibilities matrices for global finance teams as well as risk & controls matrices for direct and indirect taxes, ensuring buy-in from all stakeholders.

- At least four years’ experience in a tax or finance role within either a large professional partnership or corporate environment is essential for success in this position.
- An initial qualification in tax or accounting (such as ATT, ACCA or ACA) is mandatory; candidates should also hold a higher-level qualification like Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA), Associate Diploma in International Tax (ADIT), or Master of Taxation—or demonstrate commitment to obtaining one promptly if not already held.
- Comprehensive understanding of basic accounting principles including double-entry bookkeeping is required to ensure accuracy in journal entries and reconciliations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary for building financial models and conducting detailed data analysis across multiple jurisdictions.
- Proven experience preparing UK partnership tax computations is vital for handling complex compliance requirements efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with external advisors on technology-driven projects such as machine learning tool maintenance enhances process accuracy.
- Experience drafting process documentation—including roles & responsibilities matrices—and maintaining risk & controls frameworks supports robust governance across global teams.
