Tax Investigations Manager (in-house role) - Membership Organisation - Milton Keynes (3 days per week remote working) - Circa £80k-£84k plus benefits package

Robert Walters are hiring for a Tax Manager, Investigations for an instantly recognizable membership organisation for accountants.

This is a permanent role based in Milton Keynes but supporting 3 days per week remote working

This role comes with a salary of circa £80k-£84k plus benefits package.

This is an in-house role, not a role in practice.

The Tax Investigations Manager is responsible for conducting investigations into disputes/issues relating to tax work carried out by members of this organisation.

Mostly commonly these issues relate to potential ethics breaches or where the member didnt follow the relevant codes of conduct, but they can also be technical in nature.

The Investigations Manager will need to conduct an investigation and look into the work carried out an the issue, and then will write a report with a recommendation on whether there was a potential breach or not.

This person will be looking at cases related to all different types of taxation (corporate tax, personal tax, indirect tax etc) and so a broad tax background would be beneficial.

This person will need to hold a professional qualification (ACA / ACCA / CTA / ICAS / CIMA) etc

No specific tax investigations experience is needed - Instead this company is looking for a Tax Manager working in practice (small or large), ideally with experience in multiple types of tax.

They also would consider a Practice Manager / Accounts Manager at a small practice who isnt an out-and-out tax specialist, as long as they have a decent amount of tax experience.
