An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Tax Consultant with a focus on Loan Review. This role is based in the vibrant city of London and offers a competitive salary of £450 per day including holiday pay PAYE Inside IR35. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic Product Advisory Tax team, covering tax risks in business transactions within the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, Africa). This role provides an excellent introduction to how a global bank operates and the numerous products and services offered.

What you'll do:

* Reviewing documents in connection with loans and loan related products
* Advising colleagues in the Business, Legal and Credit in relation to tax (including VAT) risks
* Developing knowledge of worldwide tax regimes applicable to the loan product
* Communicating tax risks succinctly and clearly to non-tax colleagues
* Negotiating tax aspects of the documents
* Working with external tax advisors and partnering internally with global Corporate Tax colleagues


What you bring:


* Excellent English communication skills
* Professional qualification (e.g., tax, law, accounting)
* Experience working in a law or accounting firm providing tax advice
* Ability to communicate tax issues to non-tax personnel
* Interest in learning the commercial context in which the tax advice is given
* Capability of working under pressure without compromising technical or ethical standards
