VAT Manager EMEA- Luxury Retail

On behalf of our client, a globally esteemed entity in the design, marketing, and distribution of superior lifestyle products, we are in search of an experienced EMEA VAT Manager. This role is crucial in supporting the daily VAT compliance function and its evolution towards automation.

What you'll do:

As an EMEA VAT Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of the VAT compliance function. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the evolution of this function towards automation. You will work closely with IT, Finance, and other business teams on international VAT and trade matters. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining tax codes for internal stakeholders, leading both internal and external VAT audits, driving efficiency improvements, and providing robust tax advice.

• Support the daily VAT compliance function and its evolution towards automation
• Collaborate with existing IT, Finance and other business teams on International VAT and Trade matters
• Act as key contact point with external providers for timely preparation and submission of VAT returns
• Maintain and provide tax codes to internal stakeholders for proper settings in SAP
• Lead VAT Audits (internal & external)
• Drive efficiency and quality improvements and automation transformation projects
• Provide advice and guidance to internal stakeholders related to VAT

What you bring:

As an EMEA VAT Manager, you bring a wealth of knowledge in EMEA VAT legislation. Your background includes significant experience with ERP systems such as SAP. You are adept at multitasking across complex projects, demonstrating excellent organisational skills. Your ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing environments sets you apart. Additionally, your accounting or audit experience, backed by a recognised accounting qualification or equivalent work experience, makes you an ideal fit for this role.
