A leading organisation in the renewable energy sector is seeking a Tax Analyst to join their dedicated Finance team in London. This role offers you the opportunity to play a pivotal part in global tax reporting and compliance, with exposure to multi-jurisdictional operations and cutting-edge financial systems. You will be instrumental in supporting the implementation of new tax reporting software, managing US tax compliance processes, and ensuring accurate IFRS group income tax disclosures. The company values collaboration, inclusivity, and professional growth, providing a supportive environment where your analytical skills and commitment to excellence will be recognised. With flexible remote working options and a culture that encourages knowledge sharing and personal development, this is an outstanding opportunity for someone looking to advance their career in a forward-thinking organisation.

  • Contribute directly to global tax reporting and compliance initiatives within a highly collaborative Finance team, gaining exposure to international operations and best practices.
  • Enjoy flexible working arrangements with three days remote work per week and two days based in a modern London office, supporting your work-life balance.
  • Benefit from ongoing training opportunities and the chance to work with advanced financial systems such as SAP S/4HANA ERP, enhancing your technical expertise and career progression.

What you'll do:

As a Tax Analyst, you will be at the heart of the organisation’s global finance operations, contributing significantly to accurate tax reporting and compliance across various jurisdictions. Your day-to-day activities will involve leveraging advanced financial systems like SAP S/4HANA ERP to support new software implementations, analysing financial models for scenario planning, and managing key aspects of US tax compliance. You will collaborate with senior leaders on annual report disclosures while building strong relationships throughout the business. Success in this role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in both independent tasks and collaborative projects. The position offers variety through involvement in transfer pricing processes, cross-border reporting requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives that drive efficiency within the team.

  • Accurately report consolidated IFRS group income taxes by reviewing and preparing tax reporting packages across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Support the implementation of a new global tax reporting module using data from SAP S/4HANA ERP, facilitating Country by Country Reporting and Pillar 2 disclosures.
  • Assist with transfer pricing compliance by creating processes using SAP data to monitor related party transactions and ensure adherence to Group policy.
  • Analyse complex financial models, extracting relevant data to review scenarios and assess their impact on group tax positions.
  • Manage the US tax compliance process for the Group, ensuring timely submission of all required documentation and disclosures.
  • Collaborate closely with the Global Head of Tax and International Tax Manager (Compliance) to complete annual report disclosures and support business decision-making.
  • Present findings clearly to stakeholders, articulating risks and commercial implications in an accessible manner.
  • Build open and honest relationships across teams, fostering a culture of trust and shared responsibility for achieving organisational goals.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively within virtual teams spanning diverse regions and cultures.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks effectively to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

What you bring:

Your proven experience as a Tax Analyst will enable you to make an immediate impact within this Finance team. You bring deep knowledge of IFRS tax accounting principles alongside hands-on expertise with large datasets—particularly using Excel—to deliver robust analysis that informs business decisions. Your familiarity with transfer pricing issues ensures you can navigate complex regulatory environments confidently. Whether you have implemented new tax software before or are eager to learn, your adaptability will serve you well as the organisation transitions its systems. You excel at presenting information clearly to non-specialist audiences while building positive relationships across teams. Your background may include working with multi-jurisdictional groups or within the renewable energy sector; regardless, your commitment to accuracy, accountability for results, and enthusiasm for learning set you apart as an ideal candidate for this role.

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles including IFRS tax accounting gained through industry or practice experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications—especially Excel—for managing large volumes of data efficiently.
  • Experience implementing or supporting new tax accounting software solutions is desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of transfer pricing issues, risks, and compliance requirements within multi-jurisdictional groups.
  • Ability to analyse complex financial models; extract relevant data; interpret results for strategic decision-making.
  • Track record of working successfully both independently and collaboratively across diverse regions and cultures—including virtual teams.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal), enabling clear presentation of findings to stakeholders.
  • Degree educated or equivalent qualification; ACA or CTA qualified (Chartered Tax Adviser) would be advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Experience in the renewable energy sector is beneficial but not required for success in this role.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
