Our client is seeking an Assistant Tax Manager to join their dynamic Finance team. As the Assistant Tax Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the company's tax compliance function, covering corporation tax (CT), VAT, employment taxes, and ad hoc project work.

What you'll do:

As an Assistant Tax Manager, your primary responsibility will be assisting with the management of our client's tax compliance function. You will be involved in preparing Alphatax CT computations and submissions for multiple UK tax resident companies. You will also collaborate closely with the accounting team to ensure tax compliance for joint ventures. Your role will extend to preparing quarterly VAT returns using MS Excel and AlphaVat software. Furthermore, you will oversee tax compliance for European entities, ensuring local VAT, CT and employment related obligations are met. Lastly, you will provide external auditors with required information, ensuring that the company is well-prepared and compliant.

  • Assist with Alphatax CT computations and submissions for multiple UK tax resident companies
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure tax compliance for joint ventures
  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns using MS Excel and AlphaVat software
  • Oversee tax compliance for European entities, ensuring local VAT, CT and employment related obligations are met
  • Assist with the tax management of derivatives including maintaining files and undertaking calculations for tax auditors
  • Provide external auditors with required information, ensuring that the company is well-prepared and compliant
