What you'll do:
As an R&D Tax Specialist, your role will be multifaceted. You'll be providing expert tax advice to a diverse client base, preparing and filing corporation tax returns, and conducting strategic tax planning. But that's not all - you'll also play a key role in guiding the development of our client's proprietary financial tools, working closely with their software team. From time to time, you may also be asked to lend your expertise to internal company matters. This is a role where no two days are the same.
- Provide expert tax advice and services, focusing on R&D tax credits.
- Prepare and file corporation tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct tax planning and optimisation strategies for clients.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation and HMRC guidelines.
- Guide the development of unique financial tools.
- Work with the software team to ensure accuracy of tax processing software.
- Occasionally consult on company tax and finance matters.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this R&D Tax Specialist role will bring a wealth of skills and qualifications. You'll need an ATT or CTA qualification, along with strong experience in both management accounting and tax accounting. Your excellent analytical and problem-solving skills will be put to good use as you navigate complex tax issues. You should be comfortable working independently as well as part of a team in a hybrid environment. Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel skills are essential, while previous experience in R&D tax credits would be a bonus.
