What you'll do:
As a Group Tax Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the tax affairs of the group. Your responsibilities will span from preparing and reviewing UK corporate tax returns to assisting with tax audits. You will be expected to stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations, providing valuable guidance to the organisation. Your ability to identify opportunities for tax optimisation will be crucial in minimising the organisation's tax liability. Furthermore, your role will involve updating and maintaining a comprehensive tax strategy that aligns with the organisation's financial goals.
- Prepare and review UK corporate tax returns and any other tax related filing
- Consolidate and prepare the Group’s half year/year end tax numbers, disclosures and other related notes
- Draft memorandums on ETR, DT and other Group tax related updates for external auditors and Audit Committee
- Assist with tax audits, working closely with external auditors and regulatory authorities to resolve any issues
- Manage and oversee the tax budgeting/forecasting
- Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations, providing guidance to the organisation on their impact and potential opportunities
- Identify opportunities for tax optimization, including credits, deductions, and incentives, to minimise the organisation's tax liability
- Update and maintain a comprehensive tax strategy aligned with the organisation's financial goals and objectives
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Group Tax Manager position brings extensive experience in Corporation Tax, International Tax, and Transfer Pricing. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to effectively liaise at all levels within the organisation. As a self-motivated individual, you take ownership of projects ensuring every detail is attended to. Your proficiency in Excel will be instrumental in performing your duties efficiently.
