Our client is actively seeking a Tax Accountant to become an integral part of their finance team. This role is ideally suited for someone with robust technical experience, acquired within a financial accounting team, audit firm or tax department. The primary function of this role is to manage and oversee all aspects of indirect tax, corporation tax and customs duty compliance across the group.
What you'll do:
As a Tax Accountant, your role will be instrumental in ensuring seamless operations within the finance department. You will be tasked with preparing and submitting monthly submissions of US Sales Tax across all registrations. Your expertise will be vital in managing all UK, EU and ROW VAT, IOSS and GST returns. You will also compile data for corporation tax returns in UK, US and France. Your ability to liaise effectively with tax compliance firms will ensure accurate annual corporation tax computations. Overseeing company’s compliance in the area of UK and overseas customs duty will be part of your daily tasks. Your meticulous attention to detail will be utilised when conducting reviews of customs data.
- Prepare and submit the monthly submissions of US Sales Tax across all registrations
- Manage all UK, EU and ROW VAT, IOSS and GST returns
- Compile the data for corporation tax returns in UK, US and France
- Liaise with tax compliance firms in each territory to produce annual corporation tax computations
- Oversee company’s compliance in the area of UK and overseas customs duty
- Conduct reviews of customs data and take actions where necessary
- Monitor receipts of duty drawbacks from various territories
- Post tax journals into finance system and carry out monthly reconciliations of the balance sheet
