This London based firm are searching for a Corporate Tax Senior, who will report directly to the Tax Director, who will be responsible for the provisions of tax compliance and consultancy services to their growing portfolio of clients.

About you & the role:

As part of the firms Tax Team, you will specialise in Corporation Tax, servicing the firms largest stand-alone and client groups, primarily within the travel industry, with the largest client having a turnover in excess of £800m. Reporting directly to the Tax Director, you will be responsible for the provision of tax compliance and consultancy services to this growing portfolio of clients.

Working alongside, and supervising, a corporation tax junior, you will be required to liaise with the audit team in ensuring statutory accounts provide for materially correct tax provisions. This will be followed by liaising directly with clients to ensure CT600s are finalised and submitted in good time. Pre-year end client tax planning meetings and participation in consultancy projects will be required.

You should be familiar with, and preferably have working knowledge of, group tax planning, including, but not limited to, group relief planning, group payment arrangements and overall tax mitigation. Additionally, you should be familiar with, and preferably have a working knowledge of, Senior Accounting Officer requirements, publishing Tax Strategies, Corporate Interest Restrictions and Country By Country Reporting. Transfer pricing knowledge would also be a plus.

Requirements:

You should at least be ATT qualified having at least 3-4 year's experience, with progression to CTA encouraged and available.
Experience in using Alphatax would be an advantage.

You should possess good communication skills and be prepared to take the initiative on client matters, servicing clients to their timetable, not statutory deadlines.

As an integral part of the Tax Team, you would be expected to actively participate at team level, for example in providing Alphatax training to other team members of the firm, and topic centred training to other tax team members. There is also a possibility of providing advice to other companies firm members beyond this firm.
