Direct Tax Manager - Biopharma - Cambridge - Circa £60k-£75k + 14% bonus
Robert Walters are hiring for a Direct Tax Manager for a leading biotechnology business based in Cambridge. This is a permanent full-time role (though part-time or flexible working could possibly be considered).
The Direct Tax Manager will work as part of a high-calibre established tax function and will be responsible primarily for the UK corporate tax affairs of the business.
- Management of the UK tax compliance team
- Prepare quarterly and year-end tax provisions
- Quarterly tax forecasting
- Leading on tax audits
- Input into tax strategy
- Manage tax risk, both day-to-day and for projects
- Provide advice to the business on direct tax issues
- Process improvement and implementing best practice across the tax team
The company are looking to hire a qualified tax professional (ACA / ACCA / ICAS / CTA) with strong UK corporate tax experience.
The successful candidate could either have prior in-house experience or have been working for a large accountancy / tax practice and be looking for their first role in industry.
Excellent interpersonal and managerial skills are a must, as is a hands-on, "can-do" attitude.
The position comes with a salary in the region of £60,000 to £75,000 plus 14% bonus and excellent benefits package including private healthcare, pension and on top a flexi-benefits scheme worth 10% of salary.
