We’re looking for an International Sales Manager to join a forward-thinking chemical manufacturing company specialising in chemicals. This is your chance to take ownership of export sales, working with distributors and direct customers across global markets. With ambitious growth plans over the next five years, this role offers the perfect platform for someone ready to make a real impact.

The Role:
As the International Sales Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of expanding the company’s global footprint. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing distributors and customers through regular communication and visits.
  • Identifying new opportunities in global markets and introducing potential customers to the company’s technical capabilities.
  • Managing long-term projects, from initial contact to successful partnerships.
  • Providing pricing quotes, negotiating terms, and converting leads into business opportunities.
  • Representing the company at exhibitions and conferences while following up on leads.
  • Staying ahead of market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to ensure competitiveness.

This role requires up to 50% international travel (Heavily across northern Europe), so flexibility and enthusiasm for exploring new markets are essential. You’ll also need to visit the manufacturing site (UK) regularly to stay connected with internal teams and processes.

About You:
We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and passionate about sales.
  • Experienced in international sales, ideally within the chemicals sector however will consider other technical background
  • Fluent in English & German (additional languages such as French or Spanish are highly desirable).
  • Skilled at managing long-term projects with patience and tenacity.

A strong technical background in chemicals would be a significant advantage, but more importantly, we want someone who can combine technical knowledge with commercial acumen to drive results.
