We are working exclusively with a leading international bank to appoint a Vice President within the Enterprise Risk & Non‑Financial Risk function, supporting its wholesale and transaction banking businesses across EMEA.

Key responsibilities

• Support the ownership, enhancement and day‑to‑day operation of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, covering risk identification, assessment, monitoring, reporting and assurance.​

• Lead and coordinate key ERM processes for the wholesale and transaction banking businesses, including risk and control self‑assessments, top risk reviews, thematic deep dives and risk event analysis.

• Help develop, calibrate and maintain risk appetite statements and metrics for key non‑financial risks, ensuring alignment with the bank’s strategy, credit risk profile and regulatory expectations.

• Produce, refine and present high‑quality risk MI and dashboards for executive and Board‑level risk committees, distilling complex issues into clear, actionable messages.

• Provide subject‑matter expertise on non‑financial risk (including operational, conduct, technology and change risk) as it relates to corporate, FI and transaction‑banking clients, products and portfolios.

• Challenge first‑line risk acceptances, new product proposals and material transactions from an enterprise and non‑financial risk perspective, working closely with credit risk, product and coverage teams.

• Contribute to the ongoing simplification and optimisation of risk policies, taxonomies and governance, ensuring they are understood and applied consistently across front‑office and central functions.

What we are looking for

• Solid experience in a second‑line enterprise, non‑financial or operational risk role within corporate, wholesale or transaction banking, or a comparable environment in another bank.

• Demonstrable exposure to credit.

• Strong grasp of risk appetite, ERM frameworks, RCSA, incident management and risk reporting, with the ability to connect framework concepts to real‑world business decisions.

• A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset – someone who can spot emerging risks, propose pragmatic mitigants and help the business stay within appetite while still getting deals done.
