A reputable global financial client is seeking a Head of Operational Resilience Testing to strengthen the Group’s ability to deliver its most important business services during disruption. In this role, you will lead the scenario testing programme, oversee vulnerability management, and drive the “Resilience by Design” initiative, embedding resilience across operations and change programmes.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the annual scenario testing programme for Group Important Business Services (IBS), including scenario selection, test design, execution, and reporting of outcomes.
  • Oversee the vulnerability management process, addressing all identified risks, including those from scenario testing.
  • Drive the ‘Resilience by Design’ initiative, embedding IBS requirements into investment, change, and BAU processes.
  • Ensure operational resilience processes are fully articulated in the Operational Resilience Standard.
  • Collaborate with Group Resilience and wider stakeholders to embed resilience requirements, manage dependencies, and maintain a sustainable testing model.
  • Ensure effective execution, reporting, and communication of scenario testing outcomes to key stakeholders.

What you'll bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in Operational Resilience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong regulatory knowledge, including scenario testing, impact tolerances, and vulnerability management.
  • Extensive operational resilience and regulatory experience.
  • Significant experience in third-party resilience and risk management.
  • In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements related to operational resilience, scenario testing, and vulnerability management.
  • Strong background in business continuity management, with comprehensive knowledge of business processes.
  • Expertise in governance, crisis management, and change management, with knowledge of resolution and recovery planning.
