My client an organisation who follow core values at the heart of their day to day work have an exciting opportunity for a Risk and Assurance Manager to join the team and play a part in the company ethic that respect and care makes a difference.

Role: Risk and Assurance Manager

Duration: 6-month fixed term contract (potential for permanent)

Salary: Up to £46,000 per annum

Hours: 37.5 – Hybrid

Location: Worcestershire

Duties of the Risk and Assurance Manager:

  • Assisting with the management of the risk assurance framework, with specific responsibilities for the maintenance of operational risks and the assessment of the adequacy of internal controls. Working closely with operational risk managers to:
    • Complete a full review of all operational risks to ensure they are accurate and current, removing duplicated or historical risks.
    • Complete a full review of all risk controls to gain assurance on adequacy and design.
    • Review the risk management information system to ensure it is accurate and up to date.
  • Manage and maintain an assurance framework that sets out of sources of assurance against the 3 lines of defence. With a particular focus on improving the assurance that our Assets and Liabilities Register meets all external regulatory requirements.
  • Lead on the assessment of the completion of low-risk internal audit recommendations, confirming the design, adequacy, and implementation to our Internal Auditors.
  • Act as risk champion within the business, supporting colleagues to develop effective risk management strategies, and increasing risk maturity.
