An exciting opportunity has arisen for a experienced Head of Reinsurance Pricing to join a leading global insurance company. This role offers the chance to lead and manage Actuarial services, providing strategic direction and solutions for complex technical challenges. The successful candidate will be instrumental in implementing activities that meet actuarial standards, support achieving plan loss ratios and profitability, and contribute to the overall success of the business.

What you'll do:

As the Head of Reinsurance Pricing, you will play a pivotal role in managing the actuarial services. You will be responsible for leading the development, maintenance, and ensuring corporate and actuarial governance standards are met. Your expertise will be crucial in contributing to functional strategy development, prioritising operational deliverables, providing actuarial leadership to the executive team, analysing information using actuarial models, and assessing risk analysis systems.

  • Effectively manage and provide leadership to the actuarial team, ensuring alignment with broader strategic objectives
  • Develop, enhance, maintain and ensure corporate and actuarial governance standards are met
  • Contribute to functional strategy development and prioritise operational deliverables
  • Provide actuarial leadership and consultation to executive team on business developments, financial position, and technical provisions
  • Analyse information and utilise actuarial models to produce standard and ad hoc reports
  • Assess and input into the purchase and development of risk analysis and management systems

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Head of Reinsurance Pricing role will bring a wealth of experience from the (Re)insurance industry involving data/analysis/systems/projects. As a qualified Actuary (preferably Fellow of), accredited by Institute of Actuaries or equivalent body, you will have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Your ability to balance long term planning with immediate term realities will be key in this role. A strong customer orientation skill set is essential along with your ability to lead through a team of senior professionals across a large entity.
