Credit Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Credit Officer in the Infrastructure and Project Finance sector. This role is central to delivering sustainability and prosperity agendas, providing structured financing in support of UK infrastructure and the transition towards renewable energy. The successful candidate will be part of a growing team, applying their structured finance experience with a clear focus on risk.

What you'll do:

As a Credit Officer, you will play a pivotal role in conducting independent credit assessments, liaising with stakeholders, and monitoring credit exposures. Your responsibilities will also include undertaking extensive research and maintaining records in line with internal and external requirements. You will assess proposed transactions against Group Policy, ensuring compliance at all times.

• Conduct independent credit assessments for presentation to sanctioning officials
• Liaise with various stakeholders to shape structured credit proposals
• Monitor and control credit exposures to identify increases to the risk profile
• Undertake customer, sector and market research for comprehensive assessments
• Maintain records to satisfy internal and external requirements
• Assess proposed transactions against Group Policy
