An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Crime Manager & DMLRO to join a leading and prestigious firm where you will be instrumental in supporting the MLRO to define and shape the financial crime strategy.

As the Financial Crime Manager & DMLRO, you will have a broad and varied remit, playing a pivotal role in designing and overseeing the financial crime risk framework, supporting investigations, policy development, and regulatory reporting. You will lead a team of specialists and act as the key point of escalation for high-risk matters, including PEPs, sanctions, and complex transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the strategic development of financial crime policies, controls, and risk assessments.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of SARs and other regulatory filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide expert advice on AML/CTF, sanctions, fraud, and bribery risks, including high-risk customer and transaction decisions.
  • Manage financial crime-related breaches in collaboration with HR and operational teams.
  • Identify emerging risks and recommend enhancements to controls and processes.
  • Escalate high-risk or complex cases to the MLRO with detailed analysis and recommendations.
  • Produce regular risk reporting and metrics for senior stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in financial crime compliance, ideally within retail, payments, or financial services, with experience across all areas of financial crime and an in-depth understanding of the UK regulatory landscape and financial crime obligations.
