The Delegated Authority team oversees delegated authority arrangements across the market, driving profitable performance, promoting best practice, and delivering the organisation’s delegated authority strategy.
Role Purpose
To supervise and oversee managing agent's adherence to delegated authority standards and principles, promoting best practice and improving market capability in delegated authority management.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee delegated authority oversight for allocated managing agents, ensuring compliance with principles and standards.

Identify, assess, and escalate risks through targeted reviews and assurance activities.

Build constructive, transparent relationships with managing agents and other market participants.

Provide focused oversight of key MGAs, broker facilities, and structured programme providers.

Lead on resolving issues with underperforming MGAs, implementing proportionate remedial actions.

Collaborate with internal teams to align oversight activity and share insight.

Handle complex delegated authority and distribution queries, articulating organisational expectations and risk appetite.

Support regional teams in assessing local MGA risks and reviewing new applications.

Contribute to the delegated authority centre of excellence by developing guidance, best practice, and thought leadership.

Familiarity with roles of MGAs, brokers, DCAs, and other intermediaries.

Awareness of regulatory expectations and market trends.
Experience

Proven experience in delegated authority oversight, compliance, or assurance.

Experience working within insurance or reinsurance markets.

Strong background in risk assessment, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven decision-making.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes under pressure.
