Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and dependable Data Privacy Lawyer to join their dynamic team. What you'll do:
As a Data Privacy Lawyer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the firm's compliance with Data Protection Legislation. You will be responsible for supporting the firm's GDPR programme, managing personal data breach notifications, and responding to individual queries regarding data protection. Additionally, you will lead the maintenance of data protection policies and procedures and support the DPO on data protection requirements relating to AI developments. Your role will also involve keeping abreast of international data protection developments.
- Maintain data protection compliance programmes in line with Data Protection Legislation
- Support the Firm's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR Programme
- Manage and report personal data breach notifications
- Respond to queries from individuals regarding data protection related requests
- Support the data protection related third-party vendor management process
- Lead the maintenance of data protection policies and procedures
- Support the DPO on data protection requirements relating to developments in AI at the firm
- Maintain a watching brief on data protection developments abroad
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Data Privacy Lawyer position is a qualified solicitor with around 2 years' post-qualification experience. Experience in data protection and AI work would be advantageous. You should be able to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities. Resilience, flexibility, responsiveness, and self-motivation are key traits that will enable you to excel in this role.
