Our client is seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Compliance Officer to join their Risk & Compliance team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing the strong R&C culture within the organisation, offering proactive advisory services that support the wider team. This role also includes mentoring and training junior staff members, contributing to team objectives, and maintaining effective relationships with regulatory bodies.
What you'll do:
As a Compliance Officer, your primary focus will be on further enhancing the strong R&C culture within the organisation. You will provide proactive R&C advisory services that support the UK R&C Team, Money Laundering Compliance Officer, and Compliance & Nominated Officers. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the development and execution of risk and compliance strategies, supervising a team of compliance professionals, conducting high-level risk assessments, ensuring organisational compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, overseeing investigations into major compliance breaches, developing robust training programmes, and evaluating the effectiveness of risk management and compliance programs.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Compliance Officer position will bring a deep understanding of risk factors along with a hands-on and collaborative approach. Your ability to work in an organised manner coupled with your excellent attention to detail will be crucial in this role. You should have the ability to work towards deadlines while maintaining high standards of work. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills will enable you to effectively liaise with various stakeholders including regulatory bodies. Lastly, your effective leadership and management skills will be instrumental in supervising a team of compliance professionals.
