What you'll do:
As a Compliance Officer, your role will be pivotal in supporting the completion of Business Acceptance tasks. Your focus will primarily be on conflict searches and new business intake/matter openings. You will utilise your strong research skills to analyse conflict search results, identify potential regulatory or commercial conflicts, and facilitate their resolution. You'll manage incoming requests for new client and new matter openings, assessing any conflicts or AML-related risks. Your role will also involve researching new clients for CDD purposes, implementing information barriers, conducting sanctions screening, and working closely with other business support functions.
- Analyse conflict search results using Intapp Open software, identifying potential regulatory and/or commercial conflicts and facilitating their resolution.
- Manage incoming requests for new client and new matter openings, assessing any conflicts or AML-related risks.
- Research new clients for CDD purposes and assist fee-earners in obtaining the necessary information and documentation.
- Implement and maintain information barriers.
- Conduct sanctions screening.
- Work closely with other business support functions, including IT and Accounts.
- Assist with the testing of software upgrades linked to the Business Acceptance team.

You possess a strong understanding of Anti-Money Laundering legislation and conflicts rules applicable in all jurisdictions. Your proven experience allows you to confidently make decisions regarding conflicts and AML issues, explaining those decisions to senior stakeholders within the business. You have strong research skills and are familiar with widely used data providers. Your excellent communication skills enable you to work effectively as part of a team. You can work under pressure, prioritise effectively, and adapt quickly to changes in processes.

- Undergraduate degree required, law degree preferred.
- Experience of using Intapp Open software is required.
- Proven relevant experience in an established compliance team within a law firm or other regulated industry.
