An excellent opportunity is available with a global financial technology business based in Birmingham City Centre who are seeking a Settlements Manager. As a Settlements Manager you will be maintaining the first line of compliance defence by ensuring business services adheres to business processes. You will also ensure that all procedures are documented and regularly reviewed in line with company guidelines. The business also operate a hybrid working model.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain the first line of defence by operating risk controls assigned to you
Manage the team function to ensure compliant processes and controls
To manage financial risk, audit and regulatory requirements
Ensure that all regulatory and Compliance requirements are demonstrated and attained
Ensure that all procedures are documented and regularly reviewed in line with company guidelines
Ensure that roles that you are responsible for are performed by individuals with the appropriate knowledge, skills and expertise and that competence is maintained and assessed
Establish, manage and develop the best possible team, leading in line with guiding principles creating a unique and inclusive culture of honesty, transparency, trust and collaboration
Results orientation and client focused
The Settlements Manager will possess experience of having managed an operations team, ideally a settlements team. You will have experience of Settlements, excellent team lead/management skills and have an excellent knowledge of the financial sector. You will have knowledge of the regulatory environment, and a strong understanding of products, characteristics and applications.
