Head of Projects (MarTech/CRM exp.) 6-12mth contract Onsite in Merseyside (1-2 days per week) £700-850 p/d (Inside IR35)

Head of Projects (MarTech/CRM exp.) wanted on contract basis to take responsibility for the strategy, implementation, and management of my clients company's marketing technology stack, with a focus on CRM and projects to drive customer engagement and business goals. This includes overseeing CRM systems like Salesforce, managing marketing automation, ensuring data integration, leading project teams, and working with stakeholders across sales, marketing, and IT.
Key responsibilities
  • Strategy and Leadership: Define and execute the overall CRM and marketing technology strategy, aligning it with business objectives like customer personalization and lifecycle marketing. Lead and manage project teams, ensuring accountability and collaboration across departments.
  • Technology and Project Management: Oversee the health, integration, and optimization of the marketing tech stack, which includes CRM (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho, Microsoft Dynamics), marketing automation, data platforms, and content management systems. Manage the full lifecycle of marketing and technology projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Data and Analytics: Ensure systems can provide data-driven insights to guide strategic decisions and continuous improvement. This involves overseeing reporting and analytics, often using tools like Power BI or Looker Studio.
Skills and experience
  • Proven experience in CRM, marketing technology at a Programme/Porfolio/Head of Programmes level
  • Strong technical understanding of CRM platforms and their integrations with other tools like marketing automation, analytics, and content creation software.
  • Familiarity with marketing analytics, campaign management, and customer experience (CX) concepts.
  • Experience with programme management tools like Jira is often required.
  • Marketing campaign management, content development, and creative strategy
  • Proficiency in CRM and Digital Marketing, along with digital product tools like Jira etc
  • Must have a solid understanding of marketing analytics and reporting through tools such as (Power BI, Looker etc)
  • Additionally, applicants should have knowledge of customer experience (CX) Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), including AB multivariate testing, funnel analysis, landing page optimization, and personalization strategies
