Operations Portfolio Director

A leading global investment bank is seeking an Operations Portfolio Director to oversee a diverse and complex portfolio of investment and expense projects. This permanent position offers a unique opportunity to lead a dynamic team, shape project management functions, and ensure all initiatives align with quality, timeline, and budgetary requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Portfolio Management: Oversee a large and diverse portfolio of investment and expense projects, ensuring alignment with regional and international operational strategies.
• Strategic Planning: Plan, direct, and govern multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timely delivery.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, manage, and develop a high-performing team of 12 direct reports, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across regional and international operations to ensure project alignment and transparency.
• Reporting & Governance: Provide accurate and timely reporting to stakeholders using golden source tools, including the General Ledger and PPM tools, ensuring governance and transparency in project delivery.
• Outcome Tracking: Monitor project outcomes and benefits, justifying business cases and demonstrating the value delivered to the organization.

Qualifications:

• Project Management Experience: Proven experience in managing a multitude of projects simultaneously within investment banking, with a focus on expense and investment initiatives.
• Banking Knowledge: In-depth understanding of banking products, regulations, and the operational landscape, particularly within the APAC region.
• Financial Acumen: Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, vendor contracts, and ensure disciplined financial oversight of project portfolios.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership experience, with a proven track record in coaching and mentoring teams to achieve key deliverables.
• Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across diverse teams.
