Business Analyst

Our client, a leading investment management firm, is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst for an initial 6-month contract, with potential for extension. In this role, you’ll be crucial in supporting a multi-year programme to enhance current systems end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture and decompose business requirements into build artefacts and user stories.
  • Manage and estimate the product backlog, plan development activities, and ensure clear communication with developers and testers.
  • Lead design workshops, create BDD feature files for automated testing, and provide QA & UAT support.
  • Work closely with the Product Owner and development team to meet deadlines and provide 3rd line support for investment applications.

Skillset and Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a fund management company, with a focus on supporting portfolio management.
  • Strong technical skills in SQL, XML data sets, and schemas.
  • Ability to manage and estimate analysis tasks, develop detailed product backlogs, and engage in multiple initiatives.
  • Experience with Scrum, iterative delivery, and Scrum ceremonies.
