A leading Global Investment Bank is seeking an Operational Resilience Governance & Change Lead to develop and manage the Operational Resilience framework in line with new regulatory requirements. * New permanent role working with a leading Global Investment Bank * Vice President role working 3 days in the office (Canary wharf and City based) * Opportunity to make your mark in a multifaceted role delivering complex regulatory change projects.

Your Role:

Reporting to the Head of Operational Resilience you will be the central point of contact for Change Management projects and lead all governance related activity to support senior management with operational resilience decision making related to both UK and EU regulatory requirements.

In this key role, you will maintain strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, helping Service Owners, Resource Owners and Operational Resilience Coordinators perform their duties in line with regulatory expectations. You will also:

  • Lead Change strategy for Operational Resilience across the UK and EU
  • Work closely with the DORA Programme Team to develop a strong capability in the first line of defence, defining and delivering sustainable and practical solutions for the management of operational resilience
  • Support the design, planning and implementation of the overall ORe framework
  • Ensure that the ORe objectives are in line with the agreed budget, including training & expectations.
  • Analyse the risk and effectiveness of the regions ORe reporting arrangements and identify/escalate appropriate actions to improve the overall reporting for the function.
  • Build close and continuous relationships with key individuals within the First, Second and Third Lines, and ensure their ORe weaknesses and concerns are addressed proactively.
  • Coordinate operational resilience governance forums which involves diary entries, attendance tracking, managing minutes and actions and ensuing management is regularly updated.
  • Ensure all documentation related to operational resilience is updated in line with governance and regulatory requirements including Policy, Framework, Procedures, Self-Assessments and reports.

Your Profile:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Proven, demonstrable experience successfully establishing Operational Resilience frameworks and capabilities for a Global Investment Bank
  • Detailed knowledge of the Operational Resilience Policy Statements (March 2021) and DORA (EU)
  • Knowledge of EU Digital Operational Resilience Act requirements and Operational Risk, Operational Resilience and Business Continuity tools, methodologies and best practice
  • A strong understanding of project development lifecycle / change management methodologies.
  • Experience in identifying and resolving risks and issues, or prompting escalation to management as required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and an organised, proactive and results-driven work approach
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership and stakeholder management skills. Confident communicating, influencing and managing stakeholders across all levels.
