A leading Global Asset Manager based in London is currently seeking a Transaction Cost Reporting Business Data Analyst to join their Transaction Reporting team.
As the Business Data Analyst, you will be required to produce cost reporting for internal and external clients on a monthly reporting cycle. You will also be expected to proactively estimate the time required to carry out analysis tasks.
You will work closely with data consumers, the Data Management Office and the wider business change team to gather requirements. You will deliver analysis artefacts and user stories, with defined acceptance criteria along with any associated mapping specifications for development and testing.
You will present user stories to the agile team including; the product owner, developers and QA to arrive at appropriate technical solutions and estimates. You will also provide analysis on defects and changing requirements as projects progress, working closely with the QA team to review defects.
You will be responsible for User Acceptance Testing sign off for technical deliverables and support the users in executing UAT
You are expected to have strong knowledge of Transaction Cost Reporting, under the MIFID II, PRIIPS and IA regimes. With experience working on data projects, in a production and an analysis environment, and a strong Asset Management background
Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage a diverse group of stakeholders, managers, and subject matter experts, building positive and productive relationships.
Able to demonstrate technical knowledge both in the analysis of data and exposure to data architecture/modelling concepts, as well as have the aptitude for analysis and requirements gathering.
Experience of working in an Agile environment. Working with data, creating data specifications/mappings is essential. As well as the demonstrated ability to develop user stories; knowledge of SQL required to analyse data sets; and experience working with XML data sets and schemas.
