Planning Manager
A leadingFMCG business based in theWrexham area with hybrid working options are looking for a Planning Manager to join their team. As Planning Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring product availability, driving forecast accuracy, and optimising supply chain performance. You’ll manage a team of planners and collaborate closely with key functions to deliver best‑in‑class service while managing cost and efficiency.
About the role:
- Lead and develop the planning team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Manage the demand and supply planning cycles to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Partner with commercial teams to incorporate promotions, launches and seasonal activity into robust forecasts.
- Work with manufacturing and suppliers to ensure capacity is aligned with business objectives.
- Analyse data to drive decision‑making, mitigate risks and resolve supply constraints.
- Implement planning best practices, tools and systems to enhance visibility and performance KPIs.
- Report key metrics including forecast accuracy, service levels, OTIF and inventory health.
About You
- Proven experience in demand, supply or production planning, ideally within FMCG or another fast‑paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Experience leading teams and driving cross‑functional collaboration..
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Results‑driven, proactive and able to deliver under pressure.
- SAP experience would be desirable.
- FMCG background would be preferred.
