Senior Materials Planner

Role: Senior Materials Planner Salary: 38-45k Location: Oldham

An established, internationally operating manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Senior Materials Planner to take ownership of forecasting, inventory planning and supply coordination across a global supply chain.

Reporting to the Global Purchasing/Supply Chain Manager, you will ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials to support customer demand. This is a commercially focused role combining demand analysis, stock optimisation and team leadership.

Key responsibilities:
• Analyse sales trends and manage inventory planning across multiple SKUs
• Lead forecasting and replenishment to support the UK sales plan
• Coordinate overseas supply and manage supplier performance
• Track forecast accuracy and refine planning KPIs
• Identify supply risks and implement mitigation strategies
• Develop and guide the Purchasing team

About you:
• Proven experience in Demand Planning, Forecasting or Sales Planning
• Strong inventory management experience within a global supply environment
• Experience working with overseas suppliers
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP system knowledge (Navision advantageous)
• Commercially aware, analytical and confident in stakeholder engagement
