Demand Manager

A global manufacturing business based in Lancashire are looking for a Demand Manager to join their team. As Demand Manager you will be responsible for developing and managing the demand planning process to ensure accurate forecasting, efficient inventory management, and alignment between supply and demand. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting production planning, sales, and inventory strategies to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

This role requires the successful candidate to be on site 2 days a week.

About the role:

• Create and maintain demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and input from sales, marketing, and finance.
• Lead monthly S&OP meetings to align forecasts with supply and business goals.
• Track forecast accuracy and KPIs; drive ongoing improvements.
• Work with inventory and production teams to balance supply and reduce waste.
• Analyse demand patterns to support planning and inventory strategies.
• Manage product life-cycle activities, including launches, phase-outs, and promotions.
• Share forecast insights and risks with stakeholders for alignment.
• Use ERP systems for data management and reporting.
• Contribute to initiatives focused on cost, lead-time, and service level improvements.

About the person:

• Ideally degree qualified or overseas equivalent.
• Deep and detailed knowledge around demand planning and S&OP.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong ERP and Excel skills.
• Ability to drive change in a positive manner.
